Ducab Group has partnered with Al Ameen, Ferjan Dubai, and Wideview for Consultancy and Training to deliver a series of practical STEM workshops aimed at introducing school students to the fundamentals of electrical engineering.
Held on July 16 and 17 at Al Barsha and Al Khawaneej Schools as part of the Ferjan Dubai Summer Camp 2025, the initiative drew participation from 80 students aged 9 to 15.
The program, titled “Exploring Electricity & Cables with Ducab,” was part of Ducab’s CSR platform, Ducare, and coincided with the 10th anniversary of World Youth Skills Day.
Engineers from Ducab led the sessions, providing students with hands-on activities that included circuit demonstrations, cable construction insights, and electrical safety basics. Highlights included building snap circuits and a light bulb activity to visualise current flow and conductivity in action.
“Education is the foundation of innovation,” Ducab said in a statement, adding that the initiative aims to “spark curiosity in young minds and nurture the next generation of engineers and technologists.”
The program emphasises the group’s long-standing focus on community engagement and workforce development. It also reflects a broader industry trend to address future skills gaps by encouraging early interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
Ferjan Dubai, known for its work in community-based learning and youth development, facilitated the educational design of the sessions, ensuring alignment with age-specific learning objectives and technical accuracy.
