India’s ACME Group has awarded a contract to China’s Shuangliang Hydrogen, a subsidiary of the Shuangliang Group (SLG), to supply green hydrogen production systems for its flagship green ammonia project in Oman.
The project, which aims to produce 300 tonnes of green ammonia per day, is part of ACME’s strategy to position Oman as a global hub for green hydrogen and ammonia production.
In a statement on Friday, Shuangliang Hydrogen confirmed the deal, highlighting its significance for advancing international clean energy collaboration. “This agreement follows detailed discussions and site visits, culminating in a formal order for the green electric hydrogen production system. Together, ACME and Shuangliang are setting a new benchmark in addressing global climate challenges,” the Shanghai-based company said.
The contract represents is a major step in ACME’s efforts to scale up its green hydrogen ambitions, leveraging Oman’s abundant solar and wind resources to drive the clean energy transition.
The project, slated for completion by the end of 2024, aligns with Oman’s renewable energy goals and positions the Sultanate as a leading exporter of sustainable fuels.
ACME Group has been at the forefront of green energy innovation, with a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in India and globally.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen both companies’ positions in the global renewable energy market, with Shuangliang contributing cutting-edge green hydrogen systems to support ACME’s ambitious green ammonia initiative.
